SAMAS ANTARAL

|
|||
At the beginning of time, in the realm of Glindar
The rune of creation was sealed within a crystal
Which in the tongue of yore was called Samas Antaral
Suddenly darkness was upon the land
when the prince of ravens ravaged the crystal,
flew over the ocean and dropped it into
the abyss below

THE RAVEN PRINCE
05:33
|
|||
Ten thousand fathoms down into the deep
The shining crystal is out of reach
Since Nargal let it slip into the sea
The world’s enshrouded in shades of grief
There is no reason to fear, for I know we are bound to win
The jewel will be returned, let the search for the Isle begin!
In days of old when serpents ruled the Earth
And no one knew the Samas Antaral
A tale was told of Raudalin’s birth and the raven prince called Nargal
There is no reason to fear, though our future seems so dim
The jewel will be returned, let the search for the Isle begin!
From Glindar to Lamakk to Mount Valdatind
The beacons are burning, the search will begin

Undimon, the keeper of time
Gazing at days gone by
A witness of days to come
Resides beneath the lake of Laug
Nothing escapes his watchful eyes

Perrisendrach, the warlock of Glindar Who had foreseen that a blue star would appear in the sky, took council from the spirit of Logrila. From Cornat to Lamakk, from Oneiron to Glindar, a prophecy will one day come true and the crystal shall rise when a new Island is born from the sea.
So the warlock put on feathers and wings and now his journey begins.

SAMIRALA
06:21
|

Bound by Vormakk’s spell
Young Jorim fell
Into a void of hell fire
Thus from afar
A healer came
With blessings from a blue star
She came down from the stars
In days of darkness
Samirala gave light
Unto the meek
Her healing hands
Soon set the warrior free

THE ROAD FROM RAUDALINN
03:01
|
|||
There was a castle high up on a ridge with rusty spires and iron gates
Two prisoners trying to find their way out from a dark and haunted maze
There is no reason to fear though you’re shivering deep within
I know the way out of here, there's a road from Raudalinn
Remember the saying of the Old: 'The fate of Glindar is in your hand'
Through the jaws of the dragon there's a way, so make haste now while you can
Doors will open wheels will turn, Nargal he cannot win
The jewel will be returned, there's a road from Raudalinn

BALINDARGOTH

|

A young pilgrim wanders around in the ancient city of Balindargoth with its crumbling spires, its haunted alleys and its round tower housing the mad priest of Gormoth
'Are you a god or a prophet?'
the priest asks the young pilgrim
'Ah but you need not reply, because I will now offer you
to the dancing chewing god Gormoth, the hungry one!'

LOGRILA
03:53
|
|||
Leaving the shore of a gray restless ocean, the party search for the Island of Samas Antaral
And as it eventually rises out of the rolling mist like a mighty fortress of jagged lava and onyx spires, they set foot on its barren strands. And as the restless ocean suddenly turns into molten iron the forces of night and day clash together in a battle of sorcery that shakes the very foundations of the Earth
Until all has ended. Until all is still
And finally magic beacons light up from horizon to horizon carrying the messDragon portalage of victory from Cornat to Lamakk, from Oneiron to Glindar and to the white crested mount Valdatind
And so it came to be that Nargal was finally forced to retreat into the dark, taking with him his broken legions, the dreaded Gar Skuorras. And the jewel could long at last be returned and peace once again reign as it had been foretold by Logrila who once witnessed the rising of a blue star

The gate of life
I remember how the mother of creation spun the stars and stretched the frosty veil high up high upon the roof beams of the sky
From the depth of never ending night hood she reached out her hand and formed her daughter Earth and broke the spell of dark at the dawn of time
The flames grew high by the gate of life in the painful Earthan birth
And galactic harps all a stringed with stars played the song of lifehood light
I remember how the mother of creation spun the stars and stretched the frosty veil high up high upon the roof beams of the sky
And when it was done she wandered on the Milky way along that road made of satins and fog hovering in the night so deep and wide
The flames grew high by the gate of life in the painful Earthan birth
And the mystical rays of the early Earthan days shone a hazy glow of ever falling rain

In the Labyrinth Stockholm, Sweden
In The Labyrinth is an experimental musical project based in Stockholm, Sweden, and is led by Peter Lindahl. The main concern is to mix a wide array of styles to create a symbiosis quite unlike most music heard of today. You could define it as progressive rock with a strong ethnical element or almost like an early Pink Floyd adorned with both classical and oriental overtones. ... more
